“Raindrop Therapy is a method that combines reflexology, aromatherapy, massage and therapeutic essential oils that are applied to the spine and feet. This technique has been designed to help bring balance to the body with its relaxing and mild application”.
Essential oils have been part of my life for many years. I love to use them in my diffuser, to purify the air, for a relaxing bath or simply to freshen up my laundry. But my appreciation for essential oils has grown even more since I found a technique called Raindrop Therapy. I was so fascinated by it, that I decided to take a course so I could learn more about it. Next, I will share with you how the combining of three fundamental techniques makes Raindrop Therapy a pleasant and unique experience.
Aromatherapy:
The fragrance of the specific essential oils that are used for this technique
can help activate receptors in the nose, which send messages to the part of the brain that controls memories and emotions. The inhalation and application of these oils can enhance and promote relaxation.
Vitaflex:
This is a powerful ancient technique, brought to the US in the 1920s by Stanley
Burroughs. The term Vitaflex means “vitality through the reflexes”. This method can be used alone or in combination with other techniques. Vitaflex activates spinal reflex points on the feet, by applying a gentle pressure rolling motion with the pads, tips and nails of the fingers. This creates stimulation to the various points of the body.

Feather Stroking Massage:
This gentle brushing technique is applied to the spine with the back of the fingernails. Feathering is usually done with both hands simultaneously, creating a
smooth sequence of motion, where one stroke follows the other.
Raindrop Therapy uses a layering process of a number of Young Living’s therapeutic/medicinal grade essential oils: Valor, oregano thyme, basil, wintergreen, marjoram, cypress, peppermint, and a few more blends to relax the muscles. The beautiful combination of this technique allows the oils to enter the skin and begin the process of detoxification.
What I love the most about Raindrop therapy is that it uses a gentle and unique technique, that allows the body to relax, while improving the overall wellbeing of the body, mind and soul
